DIGITAL
SHADOWS
Digital Shadows is a comic I created about 12-year-old Arjun and his struggle with social media addiction. Through his journey, I explored emotional change using expressive character studies and body language. I designed strong visual contrasts between the overwhelming digital world and warmer real-life moments. Typography played a key storytelling role, with rigid digital lettering versus softer organic text. This project blends narrative and visuals to reflect the challenge of finding balance beyond screens.

Why black and white
illustrations?
I kept the world in black and white to show how social media drained real-life vibrancy.
Arjun appears in color to represent his self-absorption and emotional isolation.
The contrast highlights how he lives in his own bubble, disconnected from reality.
